Memphis Depay has revealed he would like to return to the Premier League, as reported by .
The Dutchman spent four seasons with PSV Eindhoven before he went to England and joined Manchester United in 2015. However, he couldn t find his feet as Jose Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal the following summer, and he was sold to Olympique Lyon for £21.7 million in January 2017. He returned to good form in France with 22 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions last season, and now he obviously feels he is ready to try the Premier League again.
He has named two clubs in England s top flight which he would consider as potential destinations Chelsea and Manchester City. With the current champions well-stocked with wide attacking players (Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva), Chelsea might fit his purpose better, especially if Eden Hazard moves to Real Madrid in the summer. However, the Londoners have already secured the arrival of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund after the season ends.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have inserted a buy-back clause into the agreement with Lyon, and the French side would be required to offer his services back to them first, should they agree to a sale.
